The most traumatising taxi journey I ever had was several years ago. We had decided to travel from Delhi to Jaipur - around 4 hours drive. The taxi driver showed up at 4am (the time we'd asked him to). After we got into the taxi and he started driving, he casually mentioned that he'd just returned from Jaipur driving through the night. What followed then for 4 hours was the most horrific driving (even by Indian standards) that I have ever seen. I am still surprised to this day that we returned that day alive and unharmed. Some babies/small infants have been kidnapped for this very purpose.
